Papan , Perak - Chosen Site with Pictures

PAPAN , Perak Not too far away from the busy town of Ipoh lies a quaint little community called Papan. We have spent heard countless of rumors of Papan being an abandoned town, and that there would be little to nothing to look forward to. Being a city girl , I was quite intrigued to set foot in a place so rich in history. After reading the story of the heroine, we set our journey off to travel into the old town.

Surprisingly , Papan is not all that we've been imagining. It is a tight-knitted community that are probably one of the friendliest group of elderly people I have met. Their main source of income stems from fishing , gardening and opening small convenient shops and cafes. Their money circulates around the community as well.

Chosen Site

My chosen site is split into two locations. However, they are directly opposite from each other. Site A- Currently used as a junkyard. Smell : Rusted Metal Sight : 3 Broken Cranes, scrap metal, plenty of vegetation Feeling : Isolated , Peaceful Sound : Quiet , birds chirping , motorcycles

Site B- Currently used as a house. Compared to the neighboring houses it is significantly more run-down. Smell : Grass , Fecal Matter Sight : Old house, small garden Feeling : Lonely Sound : Quiet , birds chirping , TV sound
